Iain Somerside- Captain/Coach

Former President of Scottish Rowing and life member of Clydesdale Rowing club. Iain was instrumental in building the National Rowing Academy at Strathclyde Park. He also started the revival of Strathclyde Park Rowing Club before turning his attention to Glasgow Schools. He is a UKCC level three coach and was GB U23 team manager and coach between 1986 and 1989. He is  a  member of Leander Club and has been the recipient of the FISA medal of honour for organising the World U23 championhips in 2007. He starting rowing at Glasgow Schools in 1974 attending Whitehill Secondary School.

Stewart Milne - Treasurer

Stewart became Treasurer of the Club in 2016, whilst enthusiastically supporting his children in the sport.

Gordon Simpson - club master

Gordon is the most vital person in the club. It is Gordon who keeps the fleet of boats afloat. A former President of Clydesdale Rowing Club Gordon has been the most wonderful servant not only to the schools but to the rowing community at large. He has recieved more awards for service to sport than Steve Redgrave has olympic medals. We could not function without him. His everlasting claim to fame was to introduce Katherine Grainger to the sport of rowing.

Mary Massaro - President (& Coach)

Former President of Scottish Rowing and life member of Stirling Rowing Club, Mary has been involved with Glasgow Schools Rowing Club for over five years. She is a UKCC Level 2 Coach and is the Club's President. Mary has been the Scottish team manager for a number of years, is a member of the Leander Club and a recipient of the FISA medal of honour for organsiing the World U23 Championships in 2007.
